STORIES, IDEAS, AND THE UNEXPECTED

Cash helped me improve my young adult novel, Nya of Sapphire Seas. She found the places where I used a passive voice and made edits to give an active voice to the story.

She also gently persuaded me to abandon my cliffhanger ending. Cash wrote an example of how I might end the story – who knew she had a list of sea creatures to add specificity to the action! – and I threaded many of her word choices into the final ending of the story.
